Two-Sided Onboarding
Separate flows for equipment owners and maintenance specialists. Each side sees a tailored interface — owners post jobs and browse profiles, specialists manage availability and incoming requests.
Equipment owners in agriculture and construction could not find reliable maintenance specialists. Service providers had no channel to reach B2B clients.
Agricultural and construction equipment owners in Japan had no reliable way to find maintenance specialists for their machinery. Technically qualified specialists existed — but finding one for a specific machine type, in the right region, at a reliable price point, was entirely word-of-mouth.
Specialists, in turn, had no structured way to reach B2B clients. Their business came through personal contacts — limited, unpredictable, and not scalable. And for both sides, payment was a recurring friction point: equipment owners hesitated to pay upfront for work not yet done; specialists worried about non-payment after completing a job.
Both problems were structural. The market needed infrastructure before it could function.
AMCOLAB built the platform that makes this market function: owners find and evaluate verified specialists, specialists receive structured incoming work, and payment is handled through a mechanism both sides trust.
Separate flows for equipment owners and maintenance specialists. Each side sees a tailored interface — owners post jobs and browse profiles, specialists manage availability and incoming requests.
Specialists submit credentials, certifications, equipment expertise, and service region through an admin-reviewed process. Verification status is visible to owners browsing the platform.
Job postings specify the machine type, manufacturer, model, and fault description. The system surfaces specialists with relevant expertise in the right region, filtering out irrelevant results automatically.
Owners select a specialist, propose a service date, and confirm through the platform. Specialists accept or counter-propose. Calendar management prevents double-booking.
Payment is held by the platform after booking confirmation and released to the specialist only when the owner confirms the work is complete. Both parties are protected without needing to trust each other upfront — a critical factor for a new market with no established reputation infrastructure.
Unresolved cases escalate to an admin review queue with full case history, communications, and job records available in context.
